About

Interns in this position will provide assistance to the Seeing and Exploring Life’s Future program, an adolescent comprehensive sexual health education program.

Typical duties to include preparing for and participating in weekly peer education team meetings, pre-session planning, post-session clean-up, photography/videography at sessions and events, and transportation of program participants. The intern will also assist with administrative tasks in the office including data entry and preparations for educational activities, and will have the opportunity to be involved in outreach initiatives such as shadowing presentations within the community with the potential to teach once ready. Expect to gain skills in community education, sexuality education, and outreach.

Specific Duties:

- Obtain knowledge about current topics in sexuality and other teen health issues

- Assist in preparing for and participating in weekly meetings

- Assist in administrative tasks that support the peer education program

- Assist in community education and outreach initiatives

- Assist with photography and videography during sessions and events
