Volunteer Coordinator is needed for our Music and Dance Programs. This volunteer coordinates with local groups and individuals that are volunteering to host music and dance lessons with our clients. Weekly scheduling and confirmation is required, flexible scheduling of volunteer time can be extended. The volunteer can accomplish the duties at our center in Ogden or from home (virtual).
Must have volunteer or people scheduling experience. Computer and phone skills are preferred. Seeking a dedicated and trust worthy volunteer to administer these duties.
Developmental Training Systems, Inc. was established in 1990 as a private not for profit organization in Ogden, Utah. DTSI provides community day support services for 26 individuals ages 22 to 85 with severe, multiple physical and intellectual disabilities who reside in Davis and Weber Counties. All have a primary diagnosis of intellectual disabilities and may have other disabilities as well, such as: Cerebral Palsy, seizure disorders, Autism, and/or Alzheimer’s disease.
Individuals receive assistance and support and have an opportunity to participate in activities such as mobility, art, history, music, crafts, science, physical positioning, culture and hobbies. We assist individuals with eating and with their personal care needs (toileting). At DTSI we place great emphasis on understanding the unique communication and learning style of each person.
