Craft

We are looking for some crafty volunteers to make sensory bags or activity blankets for our Alzheimer's and Dementia patients on our service. The soft texture of the bags or activity blankets comforts them and sooths them. This is a great for groups or all by yourself!

Description

We are made up of a dedicated team that focuses on enhancing the quality of life by providing comfort care as well as spiritual, social and emotional support to patients in the final phase of a terminal illness. Our program stresses human values that go beyond the physical needs of the patient and we strive to ensure that our patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort.

We depend on our volunteers to help us give the full circle of care that our patients and their families need during this challenging time.

Mandated background check, TB test, extensive volunteer orientation and training given. New volunteer orientation is offered continuously throughout the year. Please call Belinda O'Brien @ 815-469-7100.
