The Event Planning Volunteers will assist in event logistics and day-of event support. See volunteer responsibilities below.
Prior Experience Needed: Fundraising and Event planning experience a must
Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication. High degree of empathy with Legacy Farms client populations. Event planning experience. Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising.
Training: 1-day orientation
Time: Flexible. Based on need.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and oversee 2 Annual Events-Legacy Farms Spring Garden Party and Legacy Farms Fall Festival
- Seek out Sponsors/Donors
- Make outreach calls
- Send solicitation e-mails
- Develop event marketing materials
- Help set-up auction leading up to and on the day of the event, including:
- Solicit and secure auction items
- Auction item displays
- Auction bid sheets
- Create event program with details of auction packages
- Assist with event guest registration and check-out
