The Fundraising Volunteer supports the Fundraising committee through fundraising assistance. Depending on the volunteer's time availability, skill set, and interests, other projects may be offered, such as assistance with grant and newsletter writing, events, and prospect research.
The fundraising volunteer will also assist with fundraising initiatives & cold outreach to local businesses. All outreach will be done over the phone and via email. Volunteer must be comfortable with talking on the phone.
Prior Experience Needed: Experience working with people who are developmentally disabled helpful. Fundraising experience a plus. Networking. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; prior experience and/or comfort with database management is preferred. They should enjoy working independently, taking initiative, and have a willingness to learn.
