Read Rattle & Roll is Help Me Grow South Carolina’s new community event for families with children under 5 ½ years old. It is a free and fun opportunity to be introduced to developmental screening.

Read Rattle & Roll will be held during the 3rd Annual Tri-County Literary Celebration at Old Santee Canal Park in Moncks Corner, SC on Saturday, March 4th from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Children will enjoy fun and interactive play areas focused on learning, behavior, and development. Parents will learn how these interactions stimulate their child’s development and complete a short questionnaire that will help identify their child's strengths or areas where extra support may be needed.

Event Navigator: Serve as primary contact for individual families throughout the course of their time at the event. Domain Master: Serve as the primary person responsible for maintaining one of five developmental domain play areas (Communication, Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Problem Solving, Personal-Social). Play Area Provider: Serve as primary person responsible for engaging and entertaining siblings while parents are completing screenings. Greeters: Serve as primary contact for families upon entering the event. Direct families to the registration table and inform them of bathroom locations, as needed. Safety Monitors: Serve as primary person(s) responsible for safety at side or rear entrances (as needed). Ensure children are not able to leave without an adult and ensure all families exit through the front registration area. Ensure iPads, toys, and other materials do not leave event space.
