Do you have time to make a difference in a young person’s life? On April 28th, over 19,000 high school students will be in Anaheim, CA at DECA’s International Career Development Conference preparing themselves for college and careers. These high-achieving, business-minded students will be participating in DECA’s Competitive Events Program in which they will present projects and engage in business simulations. DECA students will:
- Share a promotional strategy for a case study they received only 10 minutes ago
- Unveil a start-up business plan
- Tell you about their real business (yes, real) and their plans to grow it over the next three years
DECA offers over 50 different competitive events for students to participate and judges to evaluate across the subject areas of Business, Marketing, Finance, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurship. In order for these dedicated students to fulfill their year-long goal of competing, we need over 250 entrepreneurs and small business owners to judge and evaluate their presentations. All executives, directors, managers, supervisors, trainers, associates, and entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate. No prior DECA experience is required.
Your time and experience is critical to the "real world" learning experience DECA provides to these driven young people. Professionals, like you, provide them with industry validated experience and motivation to move forward on their college or career paths. Will you take part in this truly life changing volunteer experience?
The following volunteer opportunities are available:
