Hundreds of children are taken into foster care in our area every year. These children need advocates to make sure their best interests are pursued. Join ENOTAH CASA and you will have the opportunity to advocate for children! As a CASA, you will receive all the training you need (for free!) and you will be part of the life of a child that may have no one else in his corner. With the huge influx of foster children, DFCS and the court systems are overwhelmed. As a CASA, you will focus on ONE case at a time and be able to devote the time to making sure a child isn't forgotten.
We hold trainings on a regular basis. In addition to the classroom training, you will have the opportunity to do courtroom observations. The entire training consists of 30 hours of classroom sessions and 10 hours of court observations. If you are interested, visit www.enotahcasa.org and fill out an online application.
Please note that volunteers must have a valid driver's license, be 21 years of age or older and pass criminal background checks.

Enotah CASA seeks to reduce and reverse the effects of child abuse and neglect. CASA alleviates the feelings of abandonment and alienation that scar these young lives by harnessing the compassion and gene rosity of caring adults who can and do have an enormous impact on the development of the child at all ages. The genius of the CASA model is that it effectively capitalizes on a huge reservoir of caring by mobilizing it in service to children. CASA makes the most immediate connection--one caring adult to one child in need--that can be the turning point in a life that has been interrupted and shaken. Our most significant accomplishments happen every day--when an overlooked opportunity is found, a service is secured or an adult connection is made that will help to keep a child safe and give him or her an opportunity to succeed in life.
