Collegiate DECA Members Win at ICDC

Do you have time to make a difference in a young person’s life? On April 21-22, over 2,000 college students will be in Anaheim, CA at DECA’s Collegiate International Career Development Conference preparing themselves for college and career success. These high-achieving, business-minded students will be participating in DECA’s Competitive Events Program in which they will present projects and engage in business simulations. DECA students will:

  • Share a promotional strategy for a case study they received only 10 minutes ago
  • Apply entrepreneurial skills to a sales activitiy and run it like a real business
  • Tell you about their real business (yes, real) and their plans to grow it over the next three years

DECA offers over 50 different competitive events for students to participate and judges to evaluate across the subject areas of Business, Marketing, Finance, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurship. In order for these dedicated students to fulfill their year-long goal of competing, we need over 50 entrepreneurs and small business owners to judge and evaluate their presentations. All executives, directors, managers, supervisors, trainers, associates, and entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate. No prior DECA experience is required.

Your time and experience is critical to the "real world" learning experience DECA provides to these driven young people. Professionals, like you, provide them with industry validated experience and motivation to move forward on their college or career paths. Will you take part in this truly life changing volunteer experience?

The following volunteer opportunities are available:

Friday, April 21

  • 8:00am- 5:00pm
  • 3:00pm- 6:00pm

Saturday, April 22

  • 9:00am-2:00pm
  • 9:00am-5:00pm
