February 19 - Special Event - Engineering Day
Volunteer shift: 11am-2pm
Volunteer shift: 2-5 pm
Event: 12:00-5:00
Location: Full Facility - Museum
Free day at the museum centered around a bridge building competition with engineering groups providing activities and demos throughout the building throughout the day; volunteers are needed to greet museum visitors at all entrances and provide them with information, and greet and direct engineering groups up to an hour before the event; usually the busiest day of the year.
Washington St entrance (2 per shift), Sun Plaza entrance (2 per shift), parking garage entrance (3 per shift)

The volunteer mission is to supplement the mission of the Peoria Riverfront Museum by providing genuine hospitality to visitors, engaging visitors in educational programming, assisting with the interpretation of exhibitions, and inspiring the community through the value of volunteer service.
The Peoria Riverfront Museum is a one-of-a-kind collaboration where visitors can explore and learn about the world--from our own backyards to far-off galaxies. We focus on interdisciplinary learning--a fusion of art, history, science, and achievement designed to develop knowledge, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong passion for learning.
