Carrboro Recreation and Parks seeks Head Fall Baseball Coaches! Coaches must exhibit the ability to organize team practices, communicate effectively with players (6-12 years old), parents, and Recreation Department staff. They must also exhibit the ability to teach proper playing skills and fundamentals, proper sportsmanship, and provide an enjoyable atmosphere at practices and games. 3-5 hours of volunteer work per week with the season starting late-August and going through mid-October.

A league baseball (6-8 year olds) need 1 to 2 coaches
AAA league baseball (11-12 year olds) need 1 coach

Description

The Carrboro Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department strives to offer something for everyone no matter age or interest. A wide variety of programs and events are offered year round. Whether you are a toddler, a youth, a teenager, an athlete, a traveler, an adult, or a senior, the Department has a palette of programs available. Year round athletic leagues for youth and adults are available, like youth baseball and basketball, adult softball and ultimate Frisbee just to name a few. Adults can take a day trip, enjoy a hike, or participate in dance, zumba, yoga or nia. For youth, there are an endless amount of summer camps and year round activities like toddler playtime, young gymnast, dancing and art programs.
