Imagine being able to receive a PhD, but not being able to open a door. Imagine being the mother of four, and not being able to hear a smoke alarm. Imagine serving your country in combat, and then not being able to turn on a light. Canine Companions’ highly trained assistance dogs help children, adults and veterans with disabilities with all of these things and more. Born and raised in the homes of loving volunteers and trained by dedicated professionals, Canine Companions assistance dogs are given free of charge to create life-changing independence to people with disabilities.

Canine Companions is seeking enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join our Tales & Tails Gala Committee!

The Tales & Tails Gala is the largest fundraising event for the Southeast Region of Canine Companions and a staple in the Central Florida community. Featuring live & silent auctions, live entertainment, demonstrations of our assistance dogs and an emotional program featuring Canine Companions recipients. The Tales & Tails Gala Committee is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to eh mission of providing independence to individuals with disabilities. The Committee is currently in search of volunteers to serve on the auction, sponsorship and guest experience committee.

The event will take place on October 14 th at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. Please contact Adam Fiallos at afiallos@cci.org for more information.
