Location:

114 W Magnolia Street, Suite 400, Bellingham, WA 98225, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to encourage learning and action concerning global issues through independent film and community discourse in the Bellingham and Whatcom county region. The BHRFF is an annual film festival that screens independent films concerning global issues. All films are selected by a volunteer committee. The festival is free to all. Films are followed by discussions facilitated by the film director or a community resource affiliated with the film topic.

Description

The BHRFF supports independent filmmakers, fosters dialogue and promotes action. For seventeen years, volunteer committee members have selected scores of insightful and moving films they hope will encourage the community to explore and engage with critical issues. Films are followed by facilitated discussion, some led by the filmmakers themselves. See the Festival History tab above for action you can take on film issues.

The official selections and screening schedule for BHRFF 2017 have now been posted 2017 Festival Schedule
