MISSION & GOALS

The Transportation Team works to coordinate and implement a statewide strategy for green transportation infrastructure policy, while also support efforts at local levels, including policies within and between municipalities, counties, and regions of the state.

Works with others to develop and implement a plan and strategy for better green transportation infrastructure policy at the state level.

Transportation can include elements such as fuel efficiency/reduction in vehicles, carpooling/carsharing initiatives, as well as encouraging other forms of transportation such as walking and bicycling by building greenways and concentrating populations in city centers, as well as electric vehicles (EV) from clean, renewable energy sources.

Other desirable background includes: experience in transportation policy, municipal or county planing/zoning or comprehensive plans; experience with lobbying and political strategy; technical/engineering background in transportation infrastructure and vehicles, especially electric vehicles (EV).
