STATUS

Intern, Part-time: 12-16 hours per week. Time commitment may vary according to the intern’s arrangement and request. Hours are flexible; evening s and weekends may be available

REPORTS TO

Intern reports to the De velopment & Marketing Associate, or Event Coordinator

ACADEMIC CREDIT

If intern wishes to receive academic credit for the internship, it will be the intern’s responsibility to make arrangements with his or her school. BkMSCC will provide the necessary job description and performance review upon request.

POSITION SUMMARY

BkMSCC is looking for intelligent, strategic, and resourceful thinkers to help the organization expand its sponsorship development efforts. Sponsorship Liaison Interns will work under the direction of the Development & Marketing Associate in sponsorship relations and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Researching leads for potential sponsor and partner organizations * Updating and maintaining sponsor profile database * Developing letters, fact sheets, and other informational materials about BkMSCC for potential sponsors * Assisting the Development & Marketing Associate, Finance & Human Resource Associate, Board of Directors, and other interns accomplish tasks as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

* Enthusiasm and interest in fundraising and community outreach * Exceptional interpersonal skills * Excellent research skills, writing and organizational skills * Talented public speaker * Intermediate experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Ability to meet deadlines and effectively multi-task

PREFERRED SKILLS

* Experience in fundraising * Beginning to intermediate experience with MS Access

We accept volunteers of all ages, if you are under 13 a parent or guardian must accompany you . If you are in an internship or HRA program, please specify. We are willing to fill out any paperwork, it is your responsibility to keep in contact with your program (if you have one). With on-going commitment we are willing to write letters of recommendations and/ or give out achievement certificates at our discretio.
