zSharp makes music a part of every child’s education. We place high quality music teachers in Bay Area schools to provide comprehensive, in-school music education to thousands of children who would not otherwise be exposed to music in a formal setting.

zSharp is looking for an individual to support grant research and applications for a 3-5 month project. We are looking for a determined, self-motivated, and meticulous individual that is interested in helping a small nonprofit grow.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Research foundation, city, state, and corporate grants

  • Draft grants on behalf of the organization

  • Maintain foundation, corporation and individual donor files and database

Desired Skills and Qualities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Passion for zSharp’s mission

  • Demonstrable experience running successful fundraising campaigns

  • Highly organized and motivated personality

Other Details: This is a part time, volunteer position. This position requires commitment of approximately 3-4 hours per week until April/May 2017. Work will be done remotely with weekly phone and in-person (if possible) check-ins with zSharp’s Executive Director.
