Calling all volunteers,
Hello! STAR Education is hosting its 17th Annual Children’s Earth Day celebration at the STAR Eco Station in Culver City and we would love your help! Taking place on Sunday April 2nd, 2017, Children’s Earth Day will be filled with fun rides, games, celebrity guests, and more! Our Earth Day celebration is one of our biggest events, with 30,000 in attendance last year. We would love to work with you! We will need help with setting up, running booths, clean-up and more. Below are the shift times for volunteers. Contact volunteers@starinc.org if you would like to join us. We look forward to seeing you there!

Description
STAR EDUCATION offers award-winning programs, academic lessons, after-school education, enrichment classes, fieldtrips, assemblies, camps, community events, social services and educational outreach programs targeting at-risk Title 1 (low income) students. In a format designed to Excite, Inspire, and Educate, STAR has a consistent record of significantly raising test scores, enhancing self-confidence, and fostering a life-long enthusiasm for learning. Our unique on campus after-school enrichment programs broaden the amenities that local public schools offer their communities, making schools a one-stop place for families who want to give their children the most effective educational opportunities. In California, 41 school districts choose STAR to provide programs on their school campuses. The staff of STAR continually creates and develops the most innovative educational and enrichment programs, designed around each individual childâ s interests and needs. STAR has been selected as a â Model Education Programâ by the White House and U.S. Department of Education, is the largest provider of Gifted And Talented Education (GATE) in California, and is a selected statewide provider for No Child Left Behind.
