Second Wind Dreams(r) (SWD), Inc. has been approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to use Civil Money Penalty funding (CMP) in Georgia’s skilled nursing homes. The project is for three years total and will assist nursing home staff better identify with residents in an effort to improve care. SWD will provide hands-on, experiential training in 169 certified nursing homes in the state of Georgia through the use of the Virtual Dementia Tour(r) (VDT(r)). Our grants office needs help with data entry and administrative tasks in support of this incredible project.

The mission of Second Wind Dreams is to change the perception of aging through the fulfillment of elders' dreams and the offering of innovative education opportunities to caregivers and communities.
Description
Second Wind Dreams fulfills dreams for those living in elder care communities such as nursing homes and assisted livings. Many of these elders have no outside support and the dreams proviide hope and happiness. Dreamweavers are needed to help fulfill individual dreams and also create special relationships with elders. In addition, Second Wind Dreams educates and heightens sensitivity about dementia with the Virtual Dementia Tour created by P.K. Beville, Founder of Second Wind Dreams.
