651 N Business 35, Ste 530New Braunfels, TX 78130

The New Braunfels Food Bank has been collecting client stories for the past three years- stories of hardship, hunger, as well as perseverance and hope. Taking the time to sit with clients, hear their stories, and share their stories with the community is the goal of the Storybanking Iniative. The stories we have collected have been utilized in exhibits, through print & social media, for educational videos and more. Client stories are used to advocate on behalf of those in need in our community and to raise awareness about food insecurity.

We are looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping us with our Storybanking Iniative. Specifically gathering client stories (through informal interviews), taking pictures of clients, helping create media that utilizes client stories & pictures and even possibly creating videos of client stories.

This is an amazing opportunity for anyone interested in journalism, photography, or cinematography. But no experience is required! If you are interested in advocacy, learning the stories of others or if you are just an extrovert that loves talking to people this would be an excellent opportunity for you.

If you are interested in helping us with this iniative or if you have any questions please contact us. Thank you!
