Mission Statement

Roanoke Park Counseling provides for the needs of adult survivors through affordable therapy, education and advocacy.

Description

Roanoke Park Counseling is one of only a few nonprofit treatment options for the thousands of adult survivors of sexual abuse in the Greater Seattle area. While other agencies address the consequences of sexual abuse on a shorter-term crisis response basis, Shepherd's focus is on intensive long-term therapy that addresses different stages individuals go through on the long journey to healing. Shepherd's Counseling Services serves about forty clients at any one time, and over a year's time reaches about one-hundred clients. Client fees are determined on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay. Services include: Individual therapy; group therapy; family therapy; education groups; couples counseling; partner support groups; provider training; and seminars and workshops.
