Primero Health class session
Teaching our clients good health habits.

Primero Health is a non-profit organization with a mission to empower vulnerable and marginalized community members with health education and resources to help them take charge of their health. Primero Health offers free Diabetes prevention and self-management classes as well as nutrition and cooking classes, Zumba fitness classes and Smoke Cessation. We are looking for volunteers to train as Nutrition and Healthy Cooking Educators. This is a fun and exciting opportunity to provide a great service which will improve the lives of many deserving people. We are looking for at least 6 people to train to be instructors. Because the majority of our clients are Spanish speakers, volunteers should have moderate fluency in Spanish. We will help the volunteers get certified as nutrition instructors thus ask for a 2-year committment. Once certified, volunteers would need to have some availability evenings and some Saturday mornings during class sessions.
