Memory Bear Ambassadors pick up materials from patients' families' and bring to main office in Vienna to be distributed to a Memory Bear Seamstress. Once bears are completed, Memory Bear Ambassador would pick up bears from main office to deliver to family member(s). Memory Bear Ambassadors are sensitive to families' need to express feelings and memories of loved ones they have lost. On initial visit, they would record hobbies and personality of loved one so that seamstress may personalize the bear(s). Upon delivering bears, Memory Bear Ambassadors would provide companionship as loved ones process receiving completed bears, which may cause joy mixed with grief. Memory Bear Ambassadors would refer individuals and families that would like bereavement support to the Volunteer Services Manager to connect with bereavement services and resources.
