Homewood at Frederick, a full service, not for profit, retirement community serving 600+ residents currently has rewarding volunteer opportunities available.
Winter 2024--Volunteers needed! Minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old. Most volunteer opportunities are 2 hrs long. We ask for a minimum of 40 hrs total. Volunteers needed to play bingo, take residents for walks, crafting, playing board games, shopping trips, lunch outings, cornhole, bocce ball, etc.
Training and orientation provided for all. TB test required and will be provided free of charge, or you can choose to have it done at your private Dr. Please contact the Volunteer Director, Liz Kannenberg, at 301-644-5646, lkannenberg@hmwd.org, for more information or to schedule an appointment.
