Our Farmington food shelf serves clients on Tuesday and Thursday each week. We have a volunteer opportunity for an individual looking to take on a leadership role with this Food Shelf. Responsibilities include:
- Be the liaison with 360 Communities and public spokesperson for the Farmington Food Shelf.
- Be the main contact for organizations and businesses looking to support the Farmington Food Shelf (i.e. scouts, churches and schools) along with the Farmington School District Instructional Services Center custodian staff.
- Direct and manage schedules of volunteers for Tuesday and Thursday, special events and food drives.
- Approve and oversee food and other purchases.
- Work with the volunteers to assign tasks within the food shelf that will help maintain orderly and smooth operations of the Farmington Food Shelf using adopted policies, procedures, and record keeping.
- Hold volunteer meetings when needed to discuss procedures, celebrate successes and build cooperation among volunteers.
- Oversee monthly reporting of information and meet with 360 representative.
- Help train and support all volunteers in their respective roles and responsibilities, with the support of existing Tuesday/Thursday volunteers.
- Help ensure confidentiality of client and donor records. When needed, meet with walk in clients, clients needing support and then following up with 360 for intake of clients that need additional support.

About 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and talent in support of 360 Communities every year.
360 Communities delivers a full circle of support to families through its strong network of programs, resources, and community partners. No matter how a person enters 360 Communities, staff and volunteers engage them to identify the root causes of their problems and provide resources to help them onto a path toward self-sustained success.
