Our volunteers say this is one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives, because they get to help the patient enjoy their remaining days.

We are currently looking for volunteers to service Eden Prairie, Minnetonka and Edina. A patients volunteer is one of the most important parts of their care. Many times hospice patients just want to have a good conversation with someone who is not involved in their medical or family situation.

An example of activites preformed by a Connection Volunteer are

- reading to a patient

- talking about the persons life and sharing your experiences with them. Many times people on hospice care want to talk about their hobbies, pets, family, and life events.

- the volunteer can bring their pet to brighten up the patients day

- bring in books about art or history and page through them together

- keep them from feeling lonely by spending a hour a week with them and go for a walk.
