Do you enjoy making crafts? Can you crochet and/or knit, make cards... Turn your hobby into healing by becoming a craft volunteer...all from the comforts of your own home! Heartland Hospice needs more talented craft volunteers to donate items that will bring comfort to patients facing life-limiting illnesses. The sky's the limit when it comes to what will bring a smile to a patient's face, but some suggestions include:
- crocheted lap blankets/shawls/slippers
- cards for every occasion (birthdays, Christmas, Valentines, "thinking of you," thank you, etc.)
- Veterans appreciation items, crafts with flags, thank you cards, etc.
- any other craft item that will brighten a patient's room.
Items can be dropped off at Heartland's business office in Hurst, mailed to our office at 1845 Precinct Line Road, Suite 107, Hurst, TX 76040, or staff will gladly pick up donations at the volunteer's destination of choice.
