Archway Housing and Services is a non-profit that builds and manages affordable housing communities for low-income families in the Denver Metro area. We also provide on-site, free social services to all of our residents. We offer free youth programming, community events, and adult educational classes.

Our community in Aurora (Colfax and Yosemite) is looking for an adult ESL teacher to teach a group of 5 women 1 time a week for 1 hour. These women are immigrants and refugees who came to the United States looking for safety and a better life for their families. They are able to speak conversational English but would like help advancing their skills and learning grammar.

Archway is a wonderful organization that is committed to helping the most needy in our communities. If you have a heart for refugees and enjoy working with people from other cultures, please consider donating your time and talents to help these women become their best selves! Thank you for your consideration.

Mission Statement

Archway Communities elevates lives by providing access to affordable housing, food security and the supportive social services people need to thrive.

Description

Archway Communities was founded with the belief that affordable housing is a crucial element in building healthy communities. In pursuit of that belief, we seek opportunities to purchase vacant land for new construction or renovate obsolete multifamily developments. Shortly after we were founded, we began to recognize that residents need more than affordable housing to stabilize their lives - many were struggling with challenges like food insecurity, recovering from chronic homelessness, unemployment, single parenting, obtaining citizenship, and others. Archway Communities instituted the Supportive Services Program- resident focused, on-site programming- to address the needs of those living in our communities beyond simply providing a roof over their heads.
