ORGANIZATION: Women's Resource Center for the Grand Traverse Area

  • 4 people are interested

Because of the sensitive nature of our programs, our volunteers are asked to complete a certification training program that will provide crucial information and important perspectives on domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as teach you how to assist our advocates with crisis management, survivor support and social awareness and education.

After completing this training seminar, our volunteers are able to assist client victims at our emergency shelters, answer our crisis phone line, schedule appointments for victims in need of advocacy, support clients during court appearances and help organize confidential information. This training seminar is free of charge and there is no obligation to volunteer once you have completed the training.

*For more information on general volunteering, please contact cmuhlbach@wrcgt.com or call 231-941-1210.
