Aloha, Do you LOVE to talk with people? Love to organize events that make a difference? Love to Shop, Help the Community, or even market your own business? This might just be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you.

Project Hawai'i, Inc., is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers and solely supported by public donations. Our agency provides year round emergency and outreach services to the homeless children living in poverty. Our summer educational programs are truly the difference in these precious lives... helping them to escape their cycle of poverty. Because we are considered a small organization, we do not have the support required to produce these life changing programs without the community stepping forward.

Every year we conduct our Spring Makeover Shop for OUR Cause campaign. This is an awesome way to allow the community to not only support our homeless keiki programs, but also shop local, help the consultants and keep our money here on the islands. Everyone wins!

As a Coordinator YOU would have the following duties:

  1. Contact local representative from all sorts of companies, such as LalaRue, Avon, Tupperware, LashBoost, pretty much ANYTHING that fits our theme of Spring Makeover... for your home or self.
  2. Have them fill out the online application
  3. Keep track of the consultants, their time frame, etc. (spreadsheet)
  4. Update me as the start and end for social media blasts, etc.
  5. Follow up with them when their event ends

Our overall goal is to have 10 consultants to commit to at least a one week event between the time frame of March 1st and May 31st.

We have "training" material to help you when speaking with the consultants and will be here to help you along the way. It is a pretty simple, sells itself program, and is a fun way to connect with fun loving ladies across the island.

I have a premade script, just need someone to help me with this program.

Mahalo for your time.

Description

Project Hawai'i, Inc., is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers to enhance the lives of children living in poverty situations on the islands of Hawai'i. Our public supported charity works year round to provide necessities to children living in substandard housing situations, such as tents on the waters edge, abandon vehicles, and make-shift structures hidden in the bushes and hills.

Our agency provides children with holiday parties, meals and services for all the major holidays including Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Other monthly services include providing emergency support, hygiene, food, clothing and outreach to the children living in homeless situations on 3 of the islands of Hawai'i, the Big Island (Hawai'i), Mau'i and O'ahu.

Project Hawai'i also provides educational and nutritional programs that include after school reading and tutoring programs and our summer camp activities. Children will also receive full back to school support from new backpacks filled with supplies, new outfits, and shoes. We also provide other educational needs throughout the year.

Project Hawai'i Summer Camp has ran for 15 years and won several dozen awards in nutrition and educational support. This program is our largest endevor and evolves year after to year to include even more learning opportunities to our keiki.
