On Friday, November 3rd, St. Louisans will join together to participate in St. Louis World Food Day 2017, an annual hunger-relief initiative providing nutritious meals to hungry children and families living locally and internationally. "Packaging Partners" register for a one-hour packaging session and their registration fees ($10 students/educators; $20 adults), along with sponsorships and donations, help defray the cost of the ingredients, supplies, and distribution of the food to hungry kids and families in need. Leadership Volunteers sign up at no cost to volunteer in four hour shifts throughout the day assisting with the event's execution (i.e. set-up, training packagers, floor supervisors, reloading food bins, sealing boxes, escorting packagers into the Packaging Center, clean-up and take down). At the 2016 World Food Day packaging, 398,736 meals were assembled for local and international hunger-relief.
