ORGANIZATION: Planned Parenthood of St. Paul

General Description: This intern will report to the Education & Outreach Operations Analyst. The intern will receive training from professional evaluation specialists from the University of Minnesota’s Prevention Research Center through our evaluation program partnership. Key functions of the position include administering existing evaluation tools (pre- and post-tests), and compiling, cleaning and summarizing the resulting data. The intern will also assist the Education & Outreach Dept. with miscellaneous tasks as needed, providing the intern with an inside look at the workings of the department.

Specific Duties:
- Administer existing evaluation tools (pre- and post-tests)
- Compile, clean and summarize data
- Review evaluation report drafts
- Assist with other department evaluation projects as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed

- Program evaluation
- Data management and reporting
- Community health/sex education programming and program operations


Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Required - Knowledge of evaluation techniques essential
- Experience administering surveys and/or facilitating a group of young people preferred
- Data entry experience key, pre- and post-test survey data entry a plus
- Experience programming and/or administering online surveys beneficial
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Basic level of knowledge about current topics in sexuality.
- Experience working with teens desirable.

8-16 hours/week for one full year from July 2016-June 2017 or August 2016-July 2017. Ability to commit to 12 months strongly preferred, though shorter tenures will be considered.

Stipend available - $1000 for full academic year (two semesters) or $1500 for full calendar year (add summer).
