People helping people. That is what giving to hospice care is all about. If you have a passion for caring for others, and if you're looking for a way to make a difference in people's lives, consider becoming a hospice volunteer. Hospice gives patients who are facing a life-limiting illness the freedom to live ALL the days of their lives by offoring comfort, dignity and quality of life. As a hospice volunteer, and an important part of our hospice care team, you can help improve the quality of life for our patients, as well as their families and caregivers.
Opportunities include: companionship, reading and writing letters, playing board games or cards, knitting, scrapbooking and other crafts, pet therapy, gardening, delivering blankets, running errands, respite and support.
