Girls Incorporated of Sarasota County is currently seeking volunteer mentors! Volunteers must have patience, a positive attitude, and the desire to make a girl’s world a better place. Additionally, volunteers should be able to commit to at least 1 day/week between 3:30 and 6:00 pm. For more information please email volunteer@girlsincsrq.org. Description

Girls Incorporated is a national organizaiton that provides supplemental education programs for girls ages 6 to 18. Our 6 core program areas address: Careers and life Planning, Health and Sexuality, Leadership and Commuity Action, Sports and Adventure, Self-Reliance and Life Skills, Culture and Heritage. There are aftershool and summer programs that address math and science education, pregnancy prevention, media literacy, adolescent health, substance abuse prevention and sports particpation.
