Do you love to read? Our "Book Buddies" program is an incentivized reading program in which children read with volunteers and earn stickers towards gift card to local book stores. This program happens on weeknights at our Family Shelters. We ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of one night per week for a minimum of three months.
Application, interview, confidentiality agreement, plus references and background check are required.

COTS provides emergency shelter, services, and housing for people who are homeless or marginally housed in Vermont.
Description
COTS is the largest service provider for people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of becoming homeless in Vermont. COTS offers emergency shelter, prevention assistance, support services, and transitional and permanent housing for those who are homeless and marginally housed. We believe: in the value and dignity of every human life; that housing is a fundamental human right; and that emergency shelter is not the solution to homelessness.
