We are seeking an individual with grant writing skills to assist our organization with writing proposals. We offer a diverse, challenging, life-enhancing, equine-assisted psychotherpy program and Growth & Learning workshops for children with special needs. Our vision is is to apply grassroots, cognitive and experiential learning to foster individuality and growth. We aspire to teach respect for one another, ourselves, all living creatures and our community. The Mustard Seed Farm offers a safe space for participants to explore how their actions, perceptions and past experiences affect their present relationships both with horses and humans.

Mission Statement
The Mustard Seed Farm challenges families, individuals, and groups to see the world, themselves, and others in a different way. We build on strengths and weaknesses, so everyone can live their authentic lives. We are solution focused and provide a safe opportunity for clients to grow through exploration, experimentation, and creative activities with horses, and nature. Description
Our Equine programs, challenge and develop strong, confident individuals with hands-on learning and natural horsemanship skills. We conduct miniature horse classes, equine-assisted growth and learning school visit workshops to nurture children's personal and social development through practical activities with miniature horses, incorporating creative writing and art activities and conduct annual summer camp programs. Our Circle of Friends workshop explores building healthy friendships, listening skills and communication, expression of feelings and trust. Our Sticks and Stones workshop explores bullying and conflict resolution, self-esteem, recognizing differences and anger management. Our All Aboard workshop explores teamwork and cooperation, individual strengths and how we use them to help others, trust and listening skills and communication. Our program coincides with the American School Counselor Association, National Standards for Students. We are seeking volunteers to assist with our workshop programs, summer camp horse and art activities, cleaning stalls, carpentry skilled individuals, and miscellaneous general farm duties.
Purpose: To develop strong, confident individuals through experiential learning, and to provide a growth and learning experience with horses and nature.
