Pen Pal Program Director
Position Summary:
Pen Pal Program Director will be responsible for growing HSAMF’s Pen Pal Program. The candidate for this position reports to the Executive Director .
Essential Functions :
Responsible for creating and implementing plans for the growth and development of HSAMF’s Pen Pal Program.
C reate and implement strategic plans to grow program, to include finding funding, with little oversight
Calls each member to make a personal contact and to survey member needs and interests.
Develops plan to improve and enhance the literacy program.
Manages HSAMF’s Pen Pal Program Coordinator, whose primary duty is to build maintain accurate records, match children, answer parent questions, and create a monthly writing prompt e-mail for participating families.
Requirements:
Dynamic Christian leader, passionate about children/military and literacy. Strong written and verbal skills a must. Enjoy working with people, enthusiastic personality. Strong organization and time management skills. Flexibility. Proficiency at Microsoft Office Word, and Excel. Willingness to learn simple marketing e-mail pro gram; Constant Contact. Background check, sign organizational Faith statement, online orientation training, 3 month probation period.
Qualifications:
Ability to engage others with enthusiasm and passion for the mission of HSAMF
Ability to set goals, create and implement strategic plans with little oversight
Willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction in a positive manner
Ability to organize and prioritize work on multiple projects with attention to detail
Understanding of homeschooling and/or military families preferred but not required
Experience in the nonprofit sector prefer red but not required
Hours Required :
Work from home, any time of day. Hours vary, average 3 hours a week. Requires a 1 year commitment.
