The SKTL Board of Directors is looking for volunteers to help us get our tool library up and running. We meet together monthly, but complete most of our work on our own schedules. You may do some work in a small team and some on your own. You'll also be earning a free library membership!
There are four committees looking for your help:
Facilities (site, building, tool inventory)
Operations (volunteers, staff, membership, operations)
Outreach (marketing, communications, public relations, outreach, events, etc.)
Finance (budget oversight and implementation, grant writing, fundraising)
Some of the ways you can help include:
Tool sorting
Tool repair
Data entry
Operations planning
Project coordination
Communications & outreach
Event planning & support
Fundraising
Grant writing
Social media
South King Tool Library (SKTL) will serve all communities in South King and North Pierce Counties. We value volunteers of all ages, ethnicities, backgrounds and interests. We want our team to reflect the communities we serve.

Mission Statement
The South King Tool Library provides equal access to tools and training in order to help maintain neighborhoods, build community and reduce unnecessary consumption.
Description
South King Tool Library (SKTL) operates much like a traditional library, allowing borrowers to check out tools and equipment to care for their homes, yards, gardens and more.
We provide instruction on proper tool use, host repair cafes to help you fix things and work together to build better lives in South King County.
We are on track to open our doors in 2017, but we needs lots of help to make things happen!
SKTL is a volunteer-run organization. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to suit makers, fixers, creatives, data heads, environmental advocates, community organizers and folks who just like pitching in when they can.
Your volunteer work can earn you a free membership
