Saturday, April 15
Shift A - 7 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (11-14 total)
Items include assisting with the following tasks:
- Site setup (volunteers 4) - final setup of tables, banners, tents, food, etc. (these folks can roll over into one of the other roles)
- Registration/Packet Pickup (6-8) - setup registration and packet pickup, facilitate day of registration and distribution to participants. After race begins, sell entrance wristbands to guests who are joining the after party.
- Merchandise (2) - Sell HFTC merchandise to guests
- Food monitor (1-2) - assist with donated food area
Shift B - 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. (20 total - if we have a large volunteer group, we could have them all help out with this)
- Course monitors (20) - volunteers should have reliable transportation to drive directly to course location 1 and 2. Stand at your location until sweeping team rides past and then go to your second location. Volunteers will be grouped in pairs.
Shift C - 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. (4 total)
- SAG Stop
- Restless Spirits (2) - Welcome riders and encourage them to stop at location. Restock any items as directed by site sponsor.
- Crow’s Coffee (2) - Welcome riders and encourage them to stop at location. Restock any items as directed by site sponsor.
Shift D - 11:00 a.m. - 3 p.m. (10-13)
- Wristbands & Entrance Tickets (4-5) - monitor entrance to the after party selling tickets to those without wristbands and checking IDs. One will stand at the entrance of Browne’s and others will be at tent.
- Merchandise (2) - Sell HFTC merchandise to guests
- Drink ticket sales (2-3) - sell drink tickets to guests with appropriate wristband for guests 21+
- Roamers (2) - assist where needed including trash needs throughout the after party.
Shift E - 3-5 p.m. (6 total in addition to HFTC staff)
- Cleanup/Teardown (6) - take care of trash and recycling, tear down tents, tables, street blocking, signage, etc.

Mission Statement
The Head for the Cure Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding in the fight against brain cancer. In 2004, funds raised by Head for the Cure enabled the seed money to launch the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative (BTTC) at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Description
The 5K events are not only successful fundraisers, but unique tributes to those who are fighting brain cancer and those who have lost their battles. Their memories carry on through the teams that formed around them, and the teams return year after year to celebrate their legacies.
