The Speed Art Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with our Spring Break Camps running from April 2, 2018 through April 6, 2018.

Volunteers will assist with preparation of materials for camp activities, supervision of campers, post-activity cleanup, and other tasks as assigned by the camp's Teaching Artist. Camps involve both indoor and outdoor activities.

If possible, we would like to schedule volunteers who are available for multiple days or shifts within a single week of camp. There are two volunteer shifts that need to be filled each day for each camp. They are from8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.

Art Time Machine!
April 2-6, 9 am-4 pm
Ages 6-9
Would you rather travel to ancient worlds, dream about the future, or stay right where you are? Participants in this camp don’t have to choose. Campers will explore art making of the past, present, and future, compare and contrast artists across the centuries, and put their techniques to the test in their own creations.

The daily schedule for each camp includes:

8:00am-8:45am: Extended Care for campers

8:45am-9:00am: Arrival and Check-in of campers

9:00am-4:00pm: Camp takes place

12p-1p: Lunch in Grand Hall, or outside if weather permits

4:00pm: Check-out and departure of campers

4:00pm-5:00pm: Extended care for campers

The ideal Camp Volunteer will be people-oriented, friendly, and engaging, and must love working with children. All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background check.

If you would like to volunteer for the Speed's Spring Break Camps, please fill out the application via http://www.speedmuseum.org/about/get-involved/volunteers/ and use Spring/Summer Camp Volunteer as your preference. Please state your availability and camp preference in the application.
