Volunteers in the Hazel E. Johnson Research Center are responsible for handling 2D artifacts, such as maps, photographs, and other primary source documents. Projects may include short research projects, helping to create finding aids, transcribing oral histories, cataloging or describing documents, and managing filing systems.
Required Skills: Volunteers must be computer literate, have strong attention to detail, be able to sit for extended periods of time, and have excellent communication skills.
Required Availability: At least once a month for a minimum of three hours at a time: Monday-Friday 9-4 pm, Saturday 10:30-3:30 pm.
