The Salem Neuropathy Support Group does not currently exist, but there are people who want a group and would be willing to attend and to help. For the person or persons that volunteer. we would work with them to choose a location, time, and date that would work for them. We have a detailed start-up guide that works through details and gives guidance for development of the support group. We stand ready to help with guidance, information, and materials as well as help with publicity. Depending on local conditions if meetings may be held, we would like to start the group in September or October of 2021.

Mission Statement
Hope through caring and education - Our mission is to provide support, information and referral to people with neuropathy and to those who care about them, to inform and connect with the health care community and to support research. We need people to serve as group leaders in many communities in the Western States west of the Rocky Mountains.
Description
We are a California Non Profit Public Benefit Corporation which IRS deems to be tax exempt. We major in starting and developing support groups for people with peripheral neuropathy and those who care about them. In the process we endeavor to make connections with the health care community to better serve our members and to inform the health care community about "this mst common disease you've never heard of." With approximately 2 million people in California suffering from neuropathy, it is amazing how many people have never heard about it. Many know someone with the symptoms but may not know there is a name for this. We are led by a Board of Directors now numbering 6. These people have a variety of skills and contually upgrade the organization.
