"Literacy is a bridge from misery to hope." -Kofi Annan
We hope you will join us as a volunteer at Community Learning Center! Community Learning Center (CLC), an adult literacy agency, offers education classes free of charge to adults in Philadelphia. We serve a variety of adults including people who are immigrants, people with low-income, parents, people who have not been in a classroom since they dropped out of high school, people who work and are ready to get the education they need to continue to improve their lives.
We provide a range of services including:
Working with learners to improve their basic math and reading skills
Preparing learners to obtain a high school equivalency degree
Helping learners transition into post-secondary education
Developing the workforce skills of our learners
