Kentucky Harvest is looking for volunteer drivers to pick up excess food from grocery stores, restaurants and convenience stores and deliver it to one of our various non-profit partners. Volunteers will download the Kentucky Harvest app and select routes that pick their schedule. When it is time for a volunteer route, the app will give drivers step by step instructions on where to go, who to talk to and what to pick up. Volunteers expect the entire process to take about an hour and a half from start to finish.

Description
Kentucky Harvest was started in 1987 with the goal of collecting leftover and surplus food from restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, companies, schools, and food drives and delivering it to shelters, churches, food pantries and other organizations where it is needed. This is food that would otherwise go to waste. Quite simply we move food from people who don’t need it to those who depend on it daily and we do this free of charge. We use the powerful Food Rescue Hero technology to enable volunteers to be difference makers in their community.
