At Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta our mission is to empower all girls to navigate gender, economic and social barriers and grow into strong (healthy), smart (educated) and bold (independent).

Volunteers are needed to assist girls with completing their homework. Homework time takes place 5pm-6pm Monday-Thursday. We especially appreciate volunteers who can help with math skills, however many of our girls just need someone to sit with them and help them focus to complete their homework. Volunteers also read with girls who have completed their homework.

This project takes place at our center located in Marietta, GA.

Minimum age to volunteer is 18 and a background check and orientation is required prior to starting volunteerism with Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta.Volunteers are asked to help pay for the cost of the background check ($30), but if this is a hardship please feel free to contact our Volunteer Manager directly at 678-686-1740 x 231 or tsylvain@girlsincatl.org. You may sign up for orientation through Hands On by searching our agency opportunities. Once you have completed the background check and orientation process, you will be cleared to register for our opportunities.

This site is wheelchair accessible. This is not open to court-ordered service.
