The Board of the Western Neuropathy Association is a working board. The Board currently meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6-8 PM via Zoom or the Association Resource Center at 950 Glenn Dr., Folsom, CA 95630, Suite 150. Each Board member takes certain portions of the Strategic Plan to cover and faciitate.
Currently, we are looking for people who like to work with people in groups and have some background in doing this so they could lead and train group leaders. We want them to be able to drive some distances at times to do this. We are also interested in fundraisers, a person with secretarial skills, and a person who is capable in financial management. The ideal persons are retired looking for a long term volunteer position that could be their "encore" in making a difference in the regional community. or people in their career who want to help a nonprofit corporation with their knowledge and experience and build their resume.

We have members in other states but our support groups are in these states and we choose Board members from these states only currently.

Mission Statement
Hope through caring and education - Our mission is to provide support, information and referral to people with neuropathy and to those who care about them, to inform and connect with the health care community and to support research. We need people to serve as group leaders in many communities in the Western States west of the Rocky Mountains.
Description
We are a California Non Profit Public Benefit Corporation which IRS deems to be tax exempt. We major in starting and developing support groups for people with peripheral neuropathy and those who care about them. In the process we endeavor to make connections with the health care community to better serve our members and to inform the health care community about "this mst common disease you've never heard of." With approximately 2 million people in California suffering from neuropathy, it is amazing how many people have never heard about it. Many know someone with the symptoms but may not know there is a name for this. We are led by a Board of Directors now numbering 6. These people have a variety of skills and contually upgrade the organization.
