Fit4Duty 5k - is a run/walk with a Fit4Duty Team Challenge in which public service teams compete for bragging rights and a perpetual trophy.
This is the 5th year for this event and we are looking for a race director with experience to get this event to the next level. Event participation has been around 100 and we would like to double this for 2017 and increase each year after that.
This years event is scheduled is TBD ( September 16th or 24th).
We are looking for someone with a passion and knowledge for running (and walking) that has a little bit of competitiveness burning inside them too. This fun family/community event has the foundation for something big and needs the right person to help build it!
Responsiblities will include organization, marketing, identify potential sponsors, obtaining permits and insurances, working with vendors, registrations, directing race day volunteers, setting up and clean up of event.

Mission Statement
To provide educational scholarships to students seeking education in the Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement Service fields and to family members of those working in these fields that are seeking higher education.
Description
Lt. Rick Duncanson was a 26 year veteran Firefighter/EMT and His greatest passion was to help and serve others. He did this through his dedication to both the Windham Fire and Rescue Departments, where he served as a member, a Deputy Chief, a Captain and a Lieutenant over the course of his career.
This organization is dedicated to continuing to fuel the passion in his memory by providing scholarships to those seeking a higher education in the Fire, EMS or Law Enforcement fields. As well as to support those who's family members have served and sacrificed in these fields with higher education scholarships.
Efforts to fund these scholarships come from donations and from fundraising events.
RICK'S RIDE - Motorcycle and Hot Rod Poker Run is a annual event that lets motorcyle and hot rod enthusiasts enjoy a ride while collecting a hand of cards to play when they arrive back to there starting point for a fabulous BBQ.
FIT4DUTY 5k is an annual 5k Run/walk with an added FIT4DUTY TEAM CHALLENGE which pits teams of 4 from Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement departments against each other for bragging rights and the perpetual trophy.
