The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. The Marysville Community Food Bank is putting in place a shuttle service to assist people who do not have a ride home from the Food Bank after collecting groceries. The shuttle will drive people and their groceries from the food bank to their home. A local church is providing a shuttle van and driver. As we wish to have one male and one female volunteer in the van at all times, we are in search of a female volunteer to accompany the driver on shuttle runs. The shuttle will operate on Tuesdays from 3:30pm to approximately 6:30pm and on Fridays from 9:30am to approximately 11:30am. During the periods between those times when there are no people to shuttle, the volunteer is welcome to assist at the food bank helping to provide food to families.
