Cornerstone Assistance Network wants to place a Development VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America) in Christian Community Assistance.
Pay: $990 per month BEFORE taxes
To build a stronger community, Christian Community Assistance (CCA)’s programs address the following community needs:
Food Pantry - By giving clients access to a healthy and reliable source of food, clients are then able to use the money saved on other necessities such as rent, utilities, medical bills, child-care or other monthly financial obligations.
Clothing Distribution Center - Whether they are needing a suit for a job interview or are in need of new clothing to keep warm during the winter months, CCA is dedicated to providing clients with new or gently used clothing for clients in need.
Returning Citizens Program - CCA’s unique partnership with the Tarrant County Parole Department provides men and women who have recently been released from incarceration by providing them with food, clothing and job referrals to ensure they are able to get back on their feet and successfully re-assimilate into society.
Financial Assistance - Understanding the financial burden that our clients go through and how easy it is to get behind on payments and or become homeless, CCA provides financial assistance to qualified individuals assisting them with rent, utilities, gas, medications, etc.
Holiday Baskets - All CCA clients receive holiday baskets which contain the items needed to make a traditional holiday meal. Although this is a small service that we provide to our clients, allows clients the opportunity to share a meal with their loved ones without worrying about the additional expense of preparing a large family meal.
As a Development VISTA, you will develop a Standard Operating Procedure for donor solicitation and donor acknowledgement. You will create marketing collateral pieces to be presented to potential partners/donors. You will increase CCA’s brand through social media channels. You will participate in the planning of special events and fundraisers. Lastly, you will research and write grants.
