Gannon Log Cabin Pioneer
ORGANIZATION: McHenry County Historical Society and Museum
Please visit the new page to apply.
One of the unique features of the McHenry County Historical Society and Museum is that we are fortunate enough to have a genuine, 1843 log cabin. We are looking for individuals (men and women alike) who would enjoy portraying life as an early settler of McHenry County in the 1840s.
All the information, training, and pioneer-era clothing will be provided. Ideally, we would like individuals who are available during our special events (Heritage Fair and Cider Fest) and for occasional school tours (on Thursday and Friday) during the spring and fall months.
Previous education or tour experience is not required!
