The McHenry County Historical Society and Museum has an ad hoc need for general office help.
Some duties and responsibilities include helping with bulk mailings, sorting & filing, and other miscellaneous tasks that periodically arise. Volunteers would be called as needed. During business hours, M-F. Schedule is flexible. Perfect for a retired person with a few hours to spare each month.

We engage and educate current and future generations by preserving and sharing McHenry County history.
Description
Established in 1963, our members, staff, and volunteers have a 60-year-plus record rich in preservation, education, and entertainment contributions to McHenry County.
We create learning experiences and events. We focus on local culture, organization, and family history. We collect and care for notable artifacts. We participate in the activities of like-minded organizations throughout McHenry County.
Besides operating the museum, the Society plaques historic sites and structures, holds adult programs and arranges various school and adult group tours.
